Imsouane - a hidden gem of surfing community
Located away from busy resorts, Imsouane Magic Bay is a hidden gem with a shallow, sheltered cove known for the longest wave in Morocco. This small fishing village, with its unique surfing vibe, is perfect for all skill levels to learn and improve. There are two main surfing spots: The Bay Point and Cathedral Point, each offering different experience described below.
From our modern villa on a scenic cliff with swimming pool heading towards insane sunsets, you can enjoy stunning views of surfers riding the waves below, chill and relax on a big terrace or play the pool and socialize with other surfers.
In Imsouane, you’ll find more than just great surf. Savor delicious Moroccan cuisine at local restaurants and relax with our yoga sessions after a day on the waves. Don’t miss the chance to watch the awesome sandy sunset from the dunes on the cliff. This charming village combines natural beauty, exciting surf, and rich culture for an unforgettable adventure.
THE BAY POINT
Wave Characteristics:
- Length: Known for its exceptionally long right-hand waves, The Bay allows surfers to ride waves that can extend up to 600 meters, which allows you to stay on the wave up to 2 minutes!
- Difficulty Level: The Bay is perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers. Its shallow, smooth, and consistent waves create an ideal learning environment. Due to the bay’s shape, surfers can easily return to the peak by walking along the shore with their boards, avoiding the muscle strain and effort of paddling back through the ocean!! This unique feature of this surfing spot significantly extends your time on the board, ensuring you progress your surfing skills quickly!
- Swell: The Bay is protected by a harbor, which moderates larger swells and provides more sustainable wave. This makes paddling out relatively easy, as surfers can walk out with the board through the sandy shore beach.

CATHEDRAL POINT
Wave Characteristics:
- Length: Waves at Cathedral Point can also be impressively long, although not as consistently lengthy as those at The Bay. Surfers can still enjoy substantial rides on both right and left-hand waves.
- Difficulty Level: This spot is better suited for intermediate to advanced surfers. The waves here are more powerful and technical, requiring greater skill and experience to navigate successfully.
- Swell: Cathedral Point offers bigger, more robust waves compared to The Bay. It is less congested and provides a more challenging surfing experience, particularly when the swell is large
